Founded in 1945, the Children's Theatre of Western Springs is a well-rounded program for the youngest of theatre artists. Course selections include acting, voice, movement, musical theatre, technical theatre and more. In addition to learning about the performing arts, students are taught collaborative and critical thinking skills vital to success both in the theatre and beyond.

This year marks our 62nd season! After more than six decades of arts, education and entertainment, CTWS continues to bring its students, families and audiences superior classes and productions in an environment that encourages learning every step of the way.

We hope you will join us as we continue to enrich the lives of children and families through live theatre. We have a great season of shows and classes planned, so you’re sure to find something for everyone at the Children’s Theatre of Western Springs.

School Year Classes for 1st graders and up run from September through May, but the fun doesn't stop when the school year ends! Summer provides opportunities for students entering 2nd through 8th grade to explore musical theatre in our Summer Drama Workshop. High school students can delve into more advanced theatre techniques during our High School Repertory Summer Stock Program. Make a note to yourself to register your child early next year, as the 4 sessions fill up quickly. Click here for more information
